This month marked the arrival of China's Zhejiang Wu Opera Research Center - they were visiting Canada for a series of performances around the Toronto area. These Wu Opera performers were putting on a show commemorating the story of the Monkey King (Sun Wukong) and its story Journey to the West.
On January 6, 2025, the troupe made their way to the Wayland Li Wushu Center and our athletes were introduced to the Wu Opera team’s tumbling and performances techniques. In exchange, we demonstrated our wushu weapon and jumping techniques. It was a fun and friendly exchange and we thank the delegates who organized the troupe’s visit to our school.
